Set beside its own billabong, the Studio Hut was the first building erected at The Old Brush and set the rustic tone for the rest of the development.

Within this peaceful enclave, Robert Bignell has turned recycling into an art form, creating a building that fits into the environment rather than intruding.

Step into the Studio Hut and you step back in time to the pioneering days of slab hut construction, fuel stoves and a life lived as much on the verandah as inside.

While there is a TV and amenities, there's also a cupboard of games, decks of cards and a collection of books enticing you to find a quiet corner in the sun.

There's a deluxe queen bed with linen provided. There's also a TV and microwave, a mini fridge, kettle, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils.

A wooden stove provides both warmth and a new cooking experience.
